@cutiewittakitty for my I’m a 24” waist and they were a bit too big for me, they fit more like a small/medium somewhere in between those two! So I reordered all of them In a Xs for myself and the xs fits more like a Xs/s. So I’m assuming a size medium would run like a M/L. In my opinion based on my experience! I hope this helps! 😇
