Lovely Vintage Steuben Crystal Accent Bowl.

From our personal collection, owned for over 40 years, this lovely bowl was designed by George L. Thompson for Steuben, Circa 1970’s. This design was originally conceived to be used as an ashtray! A graduate of the Massachusetts Institution of Technology, George Thompson joined Steuben in 1936 and retired in 1974. His works were featured in every Steuben Glass exhibition, including the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in NYC and Palais du Louvre in Paris. There are light scratches on the base as shown in the photos. Signed ‘Steuben’ on the base. Price is fair and firm.
