Please look at the size chart to insure a good fit. This brand tends to run large. This L L Bean jacket is a unisex style. It has snaps for a hood but I do not have it. There are two zip pockets on front. One also zips on the breast. The front does zip and snap and all are functional. The measurements across from armpit to armpit when laid flat is 20". Measurements across hips are 20". Length of the jacket from the shoulder is 32". Length of the sleeves from top of shoulder is approx 30". Clean from a smoke free home.
