These are black leather with suede in the back. They have a zipper to halfway up, they come just below the knee. Wide enough in calf for me to wear over jeans. Not wide calf but roomy in calf. Nice leather. They are comfy and slip resistant due to rubber tread on bottom front. Worn once, easy to get on off as zippers goes more than half way up, approx heel <2”
