YES lil' shorts underneath! The pocket can hold a whole tennis ball I think?? Yes grippy strips on the bottom of the shorts to make sure they stay in place where you left them. YES nice thick waistband to stay up. In short: flounce around and sport it up or...just look good. Size eight—see chart but everything is stretchy and accommodating.
