@sfrisk7 the hips are hard because it is flexible. I was a 36” hip and it fit me comfortably, but I also had room to be bigger and smaller. It has the fabric that overlaps from the waist down, almost like a wrap- ish style, so it allows for wiggle room with the slit and what not!
