My sister brought this Kuddly Koala home from a trip to Sydney, Australia, in 1985. Recently found it hidden away. Super-cute and in excellent condition, it was probably sat atop a desk or dresser at one point, but put away a long time ago. It was never actually used by a child, so it has not been compromised. You can still find some of these around online, they all seem to have a different color bow, this one being light-pink. These became a surprise hit in Australia, and abroad, as you can read in the article in photo 14. It seems they were made by a furrier (kangaroo) based on a fluke of circumstance.

Article of 1963 states these would have retailed for up to £3, which, post-decimalization of Australian currency in 1966, would be around $6AUD. Inflation calculator of $6AUD to 1985=$27.29.
