Maisie Schloss was a former women’s wear designer for Yeezy. It was in 2019 when she launched her own ready-to-wear label, MASIE WILEN. The Parsons graduate offers a breath of fresh air to a fashion landscape that seems to have seen, created and re-imagined it all. The bright young thing of sartorial style holds great promise in setting the pace for the new world order in fashion. For Spring/Summer 2021, she unveiled a collection that emphasizes fantasy-like imagery, with fabrics such as woven silk and metallics in milky gray tones. Avant-garde silhouettes enhance layering and texture contrasts, while the collection reflects on the surreal experience of viewing designs through images rather than in person, capturing the dreamlike detachment of quarantine.
