MATS JONASSON Crystal Wolf Sculpture / 8.5 Inches / Swedish Crystal / Over 4 lbs

Mats Jonasson’s talent as a designer attracted attention early on, when he started work as an apprentice engraver at the Maleras Glassworks in 1959. Over the next few decades he worked with many of the most respected contemporary glass artists in Sweden. During this period, he developed that natural style of his which he’s since perfected. This fabulous crystal sculpture has a stately arctic wolf deeply carved into the back. When viewed from the front this gives the animal a lifelike, 3-D appearance - a wolf seems to be living inside the crystal. The sculpture is 8.5 inches tall by 6 inches wide and is 1.75 inches thick.
