MCM Abstract Enamel on Copper Decorative Dish by Pearle & Joe Godfrey

Mid-Century Modern Abstract Enamel on Copper Dish Handmade by Pearle & Joe Godfrey of Hildebran, N. Carlolina. It measures approximately 6-1/2 inches in diameter and is about 1" high. It is signed on the back in script HANDMADE GODFREY HILDEBRAN - it is hard to read the etching. There are no chips in the enamel. There is quite a lot of crazing which is typical with the age of this piece (see photos). Stunning abstract design in gold, blue, and green. The Godfreys were part of the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild and had a shop and studio in Hildebran in the 1940s-1960s. Their work is highly sought after and valued.
