HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF and other “PSA’s”
I put up these handy pictures to help you make informed decisions about what you purchase.
Sellers are often dinged on ratings because buyers bought something that didn’t fit well, which is usually NOT a fair reflection of the seller or the item.
There is a FLIP side!
As a buyer, I’ve often bought items that didn’t fit. I never faulted a seller for that if I didn’t take the time to “face reality”, OR made assumptions something marked XL or oversized, or some other connotation, that presume (in my case), something should be plenty large for me.
Clothing sizes are all over the map, even when buying your favorite “trusted” brands. I have too many AG Jeans learning the hard way!
Ask questions!! If a seller doesn’t have measurements, a medium could be anywhere from a XS to an XXL (ask me how I know 🥺😖? Hint: it’s not from being a reseller!)
Sellers: Don’t ignore, even if it can’t be done ASAP. I bailed on items I really wanted due to lack of response.
I IMPLORE sellers (myself included) — If you didn’t measure it yourself, or it’s been stored awhile, or you WASHED for resale…MEASURE AGAIN!)
I’ve had too many WOOL sweaters (especially) arrive & look really small. Because they ARE. The measurements were totally different than listed. Wool shrinks BADLY if washed improperly!
Same goes for cotton & especially JEANS!
Give each other a fighting chance on both sides to be happy with sales and purchases!
