YOU can make a difference to reduce oil-based products that are killing life on Earth. We can move away from plastic & fossil fuel products. Here’s some suggestions for yourself & the planet 🌎 🌍 🌏 1. Use Natural fibers like Wool which resists burning. When my son’s room caught fire at 3am from a candle, the wool rug burned so slow & low that he escaped after the alarm in the hall FINALLY woke him after 4 minutes. If the rug had been an oil-based product, the room would have been fully engulfed in flames BEFORE he awoke. I purchased my beautiful wool rugs second hand 2. Further Avoid oil based products by purchasing METAL items such as dust pans, mail boxes, garbage cans & vtg. safty razors 3. I have stainless steel hangers & affordable wooden hangers from IKEA 4. We can store food in silicone containers, stainless steel containers or glass bottles we’ve saved such as pickle or spaghetti sauce bottles for free 5. Choose Boxed detergent & bar soap instead of liquid soaps in plastic bottles. I know- bar soap is messier but it’s a “clean” mess that doesn’t kill birds & other wildlife who die as a result of eating bits of broken plastic that they mistake for food 6. Choose straw brooms, natural hairbrushes w/ wooden handles, natural loofas for the bath 7. Ask your local take-out, bakery, & grocery store to use paper bags, cups & boxes not plastic or foam.
