@rachelb1974 The jacket measures 20 inches from pit to pit laid flat and zipped up. The smallest area of the waist line measures 17 inches across laid flat. There is a stretchy fabric inset that runs from under the armpit to the bottom of the waistline on either side allowing for additional stretch.
