Madewell black and white striped shorts

Black and white striped shorts. They are slightly frayed at the bottoms (purchased them this way.). The material is like a denim. The bottoms roll up slightly. Size-wise, they are a 28, but I think a bit on the smaller side if you have curves. I like my shorts to sit lower, so I would prefer a 29.
