Maine Impressions series poster - Architectural Accents (Maine)

This poster was part of the Maine Impressions promotional series. Print/Poster called Architectural Accents. “Depicted Left to right, Portico of McLelland House of Portland, ME. The First Parish Church of Belfast, the Capitol Building in Augusta, floating. A Fanlight window, prevalent throughout Maine, and lower right, the Baxter Building, Portland School of Art.“ A graduate of Ontario College of Art, Willard worked as a fine and commercial artist in New York before moving to Portland in the early 1980s and later to Peaks Island. Willard, a quiet activist for waterfront preservation. Goodman supported waterfront preservation by creating the “Maine Impressions” poster series. Willard’s work spans many genres, although in his later years he painted mostly local landscapes, landmarks and coastal Maine scenes until his death in 1995. Tear in bottom left, fold on top right.
