Maitland-Smith leather wood box in leopard

Large Post Modern 1980s Maitland Smith decorative box made of a square wood bottom covered in brown leather and top lid covered with leopard print hide with a round polished brass and hyde pull on top, protective padding brown felted base bottom. This large vintage 1980's Post Modern square handcrafted box was handmade in Philippines by Maitland-Smith lidded keepsake box. All of Maitland-Smith Keepsake boxes, have their own unique design esthetic, along with the crafting involved. The leather hide with its own unique nuanced colorations, consistent with the style, materials, and detailing of pieces produced by Paul Maitland Smith namesake company that manufactured many of their products in the Philippines. The hyde has subtle color variations it will blend wonderfully with Mid-Century Modern, Moroccan, African, Bohemian, Art Deco, and contemporary interiors. Perfect for storing items or simply for decoration in any room. In very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, a small loss of hair on top, see pictures.
