@nanbonbon5 thank you for inquiring. I talked to a Jimmy Choo representative who stated a 40 is a size 10 in the U.S. I posted as a 9.5-10 foot size as I find European shoes can be snug. If you like a snug fit a size 10. If your foot is a 9 or 9.5 or wide your fit will be more roomy in a size 10 (40) as it is recommended to go 1/2 to one full size larger in the shoe. I hope this helps.
