@yoga4joy thank you. He has a brace now but he doesn’t want to walk with it on, he lays down 😅

@coalcolekohl that’s so sad oh no. How does he keep tearing muscles? I’ve never heard of this in a pet before only in human injuries although I’m sure it’s quite possible that’s got to be terrible for you all.

@yoga4joy its an incredibly common injury esp in pittbulls. I worked in orthopedics and saw it every day, sadly. They are just more susceptible to it due to irresponsible breeding. Hes also a big dog so his chances went up (100#s)

@yoga4joy “ACL tear” he has a repaired full tear and a non-repaired full tear. My other ine tore hers 8 months ago but it was a partial tear thankfully. Up to my eyeballs in vet orthopedics when i dont work in orthopedics anymore 😢😅

@coalcolekohl I’m
So sorry to hear that but I understand I have ferrets and they are sadly prone to health issues from breeding issues as well. I just lost my elderly girls Tink and Rue last winter after fighting adrenal disease and cancer in both of them. They were so attached that they held on as long as they could and treatment did help but finally they both let go.

@coalcolekohl Loosing them really messed me up bc it was only about a year after I lost my big sister and they were such a huge support for me. I know how pricey vet bills are. Sending love and good vibes your way! 🙏💖Joy ☮️

Its his ACL tendon in his knee. Its sadly too late to repair it. He was diagnosed with pituitary Cushing’s, a brain tumor. Its been really hard last few months. We will be lucky to get two more years and thats if i can afford the treatment while I’m not working in vet med…. He’s my soul dog. I understand how pets can make life very special, not matter the size 🥰 sending you and yours lots of love! Ferrets smell the best 🥰
