The PlasmaFlow is an easy-to-use sequential compression system that can be used at home or in a clinical setting. This device helps prevent the onset of DVT in patients by stimulating blood flow in the extremities. By simulating muscle contractions blood flow, the risk for DVT decreases. The PlasmaFlow is tubeless allowing the patient to recover from anywhere. Who Uses This Product? Individuals recovering from trauma, critical care, or orthopedic surgery who are at risk of developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) due to inactivity, prolonged bed rest, or other factors. The Plasmaflow unit is easy to operate and completely adjustable with a wraparound design to fit nearly any leg. It can be operated by the patient without the supervision f a medical professional. Excellent preowned condition; I personally used this for about one week after ACL replacement surgery. Comes with all original parts including instruction manuals and everything is in good working order.
