Emmanuel N'Djoké "Manu" Dibango was a Cameroonian musician and songwriter who played saxophone and vibraphone. He developed a musical style fusing jazz, funk, and traditional Cameroonian music. He was best known for his 1972 single "Soul Makossa." He died from COVID-19 on March 24, 2020.
The Paul Simon Graceland Compact Disc is the seventh solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. It was produced by Simon, engineered by Roy Halee and released on August 25, 1986, by Warner Bros. In 1984, after a period of depression, Simon became fascinated by a bootleg cassette of South African township music. Simon and Halee visited Johannesburg, where they spent two weeks recording with South African musicians.
