13”x9.75” oval platter, from famous Mexican artist Mara. As a painter, sculptor, and ceramicist, who studied with Alfredo Zalce in London and Italian Bruno Terese, Mara was known for her unrivaled naturalness, high-temperature ceramics and unique glazes. She had precise line drawings and geometrics that are very hard to master. Known in Europe, U.S. and Mexico, she Passed in 2007. This can be used as tableware or displayed art. It is microwave and dishwasher safe. Pre-owned but in top luster shape. No chips or scratches. It is art so a unique painted finish.
