Hi! @Katie Lewis ... Ok, the XL is 16 - 16 1/2" across, and the L is 15 1/2 - 16" acrossbat the waist. They are really stretchy and comfortable, so it really depends if your looking for something more fitted or relaxed.

Hi @katielewie... If you are losing weight, I would go with the Large, as they are really stretchy, and you don't want then to be too large. If they don't fit, you can mail them back and I will send you the other size.
