Marcasite and Rhinestone Brass Ring - Owl

This is a fine fellow. Eyes all a-sparkling and eyebrows all marcasite-ing, cast on a background of carved brass. I bought this at an art gallery, made by an artisan, and I believe there's some kind of signature inside the ring band. I can't make it out, but perhaps you can. It's a little heavy with all the metal, but that glare of the owl makes it worth it. I photographed it going both ways (up and down), and also the plain band. I believe it's a size 6 1/2. The ring measures 1/2 inch high and 3/4 inch in diameter. The owl face is 2 inches wide. Will elicit a second look by your admirers.
