Mariposite Crystal Sphere

The stone is actually a broad term that is attributed to more than 34 types of these layers. The most common form of mariposite is called muscovite, while other varieties include anandite, fuchsite and lepidolite. It is a cosmetic grade, deep olive green colorant, made of mica flakes coated with rutile titanium dioxide. The light absorbing particles are made to bond and form with the beautiful pigment directly. Bronze and gold sparkles can be seen in the reflection of this unique soft color.
