Marjoram

This herb is part of the mint family and it grows very well here. Sweet marjoram is used in salad and soups like a garnish. Good on pizza and Italian foods. It taste kind of like oregano. I use it mostly fresh in types of salads but I dry it also and store it. The dried is stronger than the fresh. The taste is sweet and spicy and milder than oregano. It's grows almost like ground cover here and sends runners underground and like mint it can grow anywhere once it starts. It's hard to control. I try to get as much as I can cut but never get it all There are many medicinal benefits of this herb online but I havnt tried any yet. Check online for the many different uses.
