Marvelous 3 Carat VVS Morganite Gemstone!

Morganite brings out the feminine side in its wearer with its blushy peachy-pink sparkle and glow. First discovered in Madagascar in 1908, Tiffany's quickly marketed the gem here, naming the gem after JP Morgan, the American financier and avid gem collector. It is highly sought after for its color, its clarity and lack of inclusions, and its hardness (it is in the Beryl family, along with Emeralds and Aquamarines, it is a 7.5-8). This beauty was mined in Nigeria, measures 12.27 x 6.06 x 5.33 mm and weighs 3.02 carats. It is cut in a fine octagonal/emerald cut which shows off the absolute clarity (VVS) of this stone. It is also an unheated, untreated, unenhanced, natural pink color (most Morganites are more on the peachy color spectrum, and are often heated to make them pink.) If you look carefully at the reflection of the stone in these pictures, you can see its amazing color dispersion and refraction. This is a stunner! Every girl deserves a Morganite (at least one)!!
