elle_flower How do you keep the fish skin leather from flaking off? I've been trying to make something similar to this but I keep having issues.

matana @elle_flower it’s not flaking it very luxurious, high end leather. It’s fees soft and like suede.

elle_flower @matana the kind I'm using must just be cheap then because that's the way it was supposed to be but when I got it it was falling to pieces which was such a bummer. I thought maybe there is a trick to it and you might know what it was. I love this piece though and wish I could afford it. If I ever win the lottery I will come to your closet before I do anything else! I love like everything you have!

lolasug Hi! Love your closet! Where do you source your fish skin? May you share? Do you spray the fish skin w epoxy or some type of glue? What kind? How do you preserve it? How durable will this be? Love it but not sure how long it’ll last. Perhaps my questions may help @elle_flower , too! Thanks 😊!

matana @lolasug hi, thank you for the love and comments. I do not disclose my sources but you can easily google to find fish skin. I use a high quality glue and you can or two part epoxy of any kind will work. I do not spray or treat the skin as it comes ready and soft and needs no further treatment.
