Max Mara’s precursor to the Teddy coat! The original owner of this fantastic coat has decided to part with it, purchased in 1997 or 1998 and worn only for special occasions.
Single breasted with lapels.
Belt is optional; note that there are no belt loops.
Fabric: mohair, wool and alpaca blend. Soft to the touch.
Slit side pockets are lined in flannel.
The weight is substantial and it’s very warm but it’s less thick and bulky than the faux fur of the newer Teddy coat.
Length from center back neck to hem is 52”
Size US 2/Italian 42.
Because of the oversized style, I think it will work best for sizes 8, 10, and 12, possibly 6 and 14. Please see photos: for reference I’m usually a 6 or 8
Very good condition, the exterior is excellent. The lining is repaired in a smallish section (approx 8” across bottom of the lining hem in the back and 3” up the center back lining seam from the hem). It had been torn when a heel caught on the hem of lining- the coat is very long on someone who’s 5’4”.
The repair functions as it should but doesn’t look great when you look more closely, although you may not notice it if you weren’t looking for it. I believe the repair will continue to hold and do its job unless you’re shorter and the back of your heel catches on the same section.
Please see photos. The repair was considered in the price.
Clean and from a nonsmoking pet-free home.

Hi, the label says USA 2 and not USA 6, can you clarify if the description is for this same jacket? Thank you

@karetiazhang Hi - yes I think you’re right and I’m shocked because it’s very large for a US 2. I’m adding a couple photos with me wearing the coat (I’m listing it for a friend). For reference, I’m 130# and usually wear a 6 or 8

@ninetentextiles thank you, and how tall are you? Do you mind adding a pic belted tightly as well? Thank you very much
ninetentextiles
@karetiazhang Sure! I’m 5’5”. I added three photos with the belt on and one showing that it falls a couple inches above my ankle. Thank you for the questions!
