There is no holes or tears in the leather but some of the color is faded in spots- i think it gives the coat character and gives the rich tobacco brown color depth. not overly faded- see photos. this has tag of small but very large. Modern size L is a better fit. unless the oversized small suits you. 80s timeframe iconic style
