McQueen SS98 Runway Look 7 Jacket. One of Lee’s most iconic tailoring experiments, the blazer with the plunging rear collar. This manipulated collar + mesh insert concept appeared in several iterations through all of Lee’s 90s - early 00s collections. This version appears in a knitted rayon-linen blend that gives a crisp, technical, almost metal looking finish to a stormy blue-black-grey color. This thick, sturdy, unconventional material holds the strong shoulder, peaked lapel, nipped waist, and sculpted rear collar perfectly. Minor flaws- one blemish in the weave on the right upper arm, the mesh at the neckline is partially un-hemmed. Measurements by tape, by hand.
