mrstaisha @lakeishamiller She kept asking me for my tracking number and would never give me mine and said I should have gotten my package but didn't ship through posh. I just blocked her and another one she was dealing with. That is so sad. People work hard for what they have. On another note Beautiful family. I'm a Navy Vet. We use to transport Marines. aayers06 I've been swimming at TT2's pool, it seems like a really nice neighborhood! Lol my husband just likes wide open space so we live a litter farther away than most. Lol & aww, I wouldn't want to work either! Haha. I haven't been looking as hard as I should since were still trying to get everything settled here & I'm also doing college! But they're just online classes lol

davisaprilm @lakeishamiller yea it was really hard at 1st but I met most of my friends through my kv, has yours reached out to you yet? I met a lot of them while the boys were deployed b/c we could all relate to each other :) and then my neighbor and I just happen to be from the same home town which was awesome lol

davisaprilm @lakeishamiller kv is a key volunteer basically a fellow marine wife who volunteers to help new wives or wives with deployed spouses. It's usually another wife from your husband unit. They usually reach out to you after you get enrolled in DEERS :)

jessicanance @lakeishamiller I just read through all your posts!! Have you heard of MOPS(mothers of Preschoolers). The base sponsors a group at Lejeune. I belonged to a group at our last duty station and made great friends there.. All of them have young kids (obviously) great way to meet people and get connected. And yes, your husband's unit should have a FRO (family readiness officer) who should be reaching out and getting you connected to other spouses in the unit. If they haven't, ask your husband to get you the FROs contact info and ask them what spouse events are going on.

jessicanance @lakeishamiller checkout mops.org and click through to "find a group" or something like that. You can put in location info and the military MOPS group should pop up with the coordinators contact info, I'm pretty sure her name is Allison. Anyways, it's a group of moms who meet twice a month at a scheduled time and have breakfast and chat. They provide child care and usually each meeting is themed with different topics. I've never been a part of a military group before, but I would guess they cover some military related useful info. Every group is different so I don't want to tell you too much of what to expect and then it's set up completely different when you get there :) but definitely worth checking out!
