I'm Dana, Poppy just had surgery to remove part of her intestines and 2 obstructions.2nd trip to vet, Poppy's intestines were so swollen nothing could barely pass through. They put her on an antibiotic, probiotic. She has also played for the very first time! .😭😭😭 Update 2/13. Poppy crossed the rainbow bridge today. Her heart just couldn't keep up. She ended up with congestive heart failure. The money earned will go towards paying off her vet bill. Take a look through my closet. Happy Poshing!

dbelch @dees_1986 thank you. Poppy is the sweetest girl ever too. We see who can make it to my spot on the couch first. I usually leapfrog her. Lol She snores really loud also. Haha! I have a GoFundMe account open as well. No one has donated yet, but I understand. I just couldn't imagine a day without her and neither could my 11 year old mentally disabled son. If it hadn't been for Poppy, my son's behavior wouldn't have calmed down as much as it has. She is a comfort and companion dog.

dbelch @amyhaubein Poppy is the best kid ever! Ppl laugh at me because I count her as my 3rd child. My 2nd fur baby had to be put down. My son has mental disabilities and she has helped him calm down from all of his rage. She had no training, no one loved her. She was just a breeding dog that had multiple C-sections and then thrown out on the streets somewhere in Alabama. I lay on the couch and she pushes her way up behind me and lays her head on my pillow and puts her leg on me.

what_women_need @dbelch awe poor poppy, but I'm glad so found you bc she has brought more joy to you and your kids lives and I wish more people.would see pit like her. Mine was dropled off at the pound by a family with 3 kids, 2 small dogs and a cat and they thought he would be to expensive to feed. I was like if u cant afford to feed a dog why take him in.

what_women_need @dbelch I cant have kids so my dog Teak is my baby and I will do what ever I can for this breed bc they have helped me through such hard times. I was in 2 bad car accidents back to back and I have 5 herniated disks and had 17 epidural steroid injections and gained 30lbs in 2 weeks. So now I'm having to sell all my clothes I never got to wear which is why everything in my closet is NWOT bc I never got to wear it and am selling to pay off medical bills and lawyers

what_women_need @dbelch it been tough bc I have changed big time physically and mentally &I know it kills my husband 2c but my dog never noticed anything changed about me& is why the love we have for dogs and the love they have for us is like nothing else. I have to have another surgery for cervical cancer next month and I know Teak will be waiting for me at home to lay and cuddle in the couch to take care of his momma and that is the only comfort I have is knowing he will never judge me dogs r the best
