bartho12 Donna, I noticed you made a comment about your Maltese, I’m sorry to bring it up but could you please tell me about the spinal collapse if it’s not to painful. My Maltese, Snoopy is having back problems and is crated for the next 4-6 weeks and just wanted to know what his symptoms were. Thank you in advance, Dee and Snoopy

dmac53 @bartho12 Hi Dee. No worries. Cody’s symptoms began as a stomach ache. He was shaking, stomach felt hard and wasn’t acting right. Took him to the emergency vet and was told his spine collapsed and maybe could be healed with surgery, $20,000, never mind the pain, explain that to a dog😓. I hoped he would improve. By week’s end, he couldn’t walk and quit eating. I had no choice but to have him put down. Please keep me posted.

bartho12 @dmac53 Thank you so much, so sorry you’re little one had that happen to him. If Snoopy doesn’t improve by the end of the crate stay he’ll need back surgery. I’m praying he won’t have to endure that.

bartho12 @dmac53 He’s doing ok, I think he’s tired of being in the crate or on my lap not walking around. He had a little set back Thursday evening when he went out to pee but has had no pain meds since than. Thank you so much for caring.

bartho12 @dmac53 Will do. If he continues the way he is gone and doesn’t getting any worse than not until Feb 20th. If he shows any signs of not being able to walk or stand when he goes to the bathroom than I have to take him back ASAP or the er.
