yourstatement @heather_tillman It IS a big learning curve. I have made several mistakes along the way but have learned a lot from them. You are off to a lovely start!! The only comment I have is that at first I got a lot of questions about measurements, fabric content and requests for a photo of the garment tag. So, I try to photo the content tag, brand/size tag and include measurements.

yourstatement It really is a time saver in the long run and it helps buyers to get a better mental picture of the garment in addition to the photos. Different designers and brands can vary so much in size. You will do well I am sure but it is a little nerve wracking at first.

yourstatement @heather_tillman On your phone while on Poshmark click on the far right icon at the bottom which is your site. You should see the name of your closet at the top. Scroll down until you see My Balance. When you click on that a screen pops up the has Credits, Pending (this is the place that will show the amount of your sales. It is PENDING because the items need to be shipped and accepted)

yourstatement Once the items are accepted then the amounts will transfer to the Redeemable section. When you click on that you can request the funds be sent to your bank account. However I think on a Lap top/PC you can request a check. While I am “old school” I still prefer bank transfer which I find is usually two days once established.

yourstatement I post on my lap top but do most everything else on my phone. There are some minor difference between the phone app and working on a PC. I have heard of a lot of people leaving eBay. Rather sad I think that they have gotten so incredibly greedy. I have an empty shop on Etsy that I am getting ready to revamp and fill up.

yourstatement @heather_tillman Actually the shipping rates for Poshmark are very reasonable compared to many other sites. $6.75 up to FiVE lbs. Depending on what you ship that can translate to several items in a box. Not a bad deal when someone bundles their items.

heather_tillman @yourstatement lol ok now I’m REALLY confused... I thought the shipping was pd by Poshmark?!? When I list something should I include $6.75 in the price of my item?? I sold something today that i listed for $10, Poshmark took their fee which left me w/ $7.05 so if shipping is $6.95 will that leave me with 10 cents?? Do I need to raise my prices?

yourstatement @heather_tillman The buyer pays the shipping. Poshmark is able to get such good rates due to the volumes sales. Go to the USPS SITE (where you order your boxes ) and you can see the rates the PO charges. Big difference. So if you list an item for $10 and sell it Poshmark takes $2.95 and you have $7.05! The person who bought the item just spent $16.75 for the item you sold.

yourstatement @heather_tillman PS. If you do not have an account with USPS look it up and set up an account. You can order your boxes(free) and they will be delivered to you by the postman. You will need Priority boxes. Not the flat rate though.

wyldlion @heather_tillman lol same here with eBay! Would of just invested in them since they were robbing Everyone. You have so much more freedom is the big thing for me and a much better class of people! If fleas attack they supply spray for free! I was looking for a place to sell fashionable jewery and name-brand clothing without all those monthly fees. Well I was hooked and its a plus to be surrounded by such Beautiful Ladies! ❤️

heather_tillman @wyldlion yes... I was a habilitation aid for the MRDD & a resident had a full body drop seizure on the stairs. I held him & herniated my discs... this was in 2000 so in 2009 & 2012 I had back surgeries, they both failed!! I have pain everywhere... I’m a single Mom so that’s why I have to sell to make ends meet! 😊

wyldlion @heather_tillman Holy shit you sound like me! My two lower disc blown out had them replaced in 03! Now. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia which getting Optic Neuritis which in this case headed into multiple sclerosis but a slow Progressive at this time. S.P.M.S. what does yours stand for?

It's probably wish stuff. Although I bought a bracelet for $3 I put it in water over 20 days hasn't turned. I think she is pissed the quality of jewery I have.
