Hi! I'm Jane. I'm on a mission and doing a labor of love at the same time. My mom was an avid xmas village builder. She had an incredible village every year that got bigger over time. Her village always made the local newspaper and news stations during the holidays. It was always breath taking! alsonshimizu Wow, I have never seen such an incredible collection of the department 56 snow house series! My very first piece is the country church/wayside chapel, which I believe is one of the “original six.” Did not buy another piece until 1992. Now I’m a grandmother with about 30 buildings and twice as many accessories! I am so impressed with your mother’s collection, and with you for your decision to share the joy. 🤩 Thank you, you really made my day❣️🧑🏻‍🎄🎄

janie_rae_rae @alsonshimizu building her Christmas village every year was a labor of love for my mom. I have more to post! she was doing villages when I was just a kid and some of her things are over 50 years old, it's just A LOT!
