@katzkoz Thanks! You're a doll! First, I'm having trouble pricing our used clothing. To price it I go to E-bay & Amazon and of course Posh and l look for similar items. I try to price a little under everybody else, but honestly, in the end, I haven't a clue.

@katzkoz Secondly, I've tried to follow everyone's advice. I follow and have followers. I share as much as possible. Bless their hearts, I've had a good many people share back. But in the end, I haven't sold one thing. I thought I took decent pictures and had a decent closet so....??? What now? Any advice? To be fair, I design jewelry (and have for years), and will be adding that this week-end, but if that doesn't sell I haven't a clue.

It takes awhile to "get Ur stuff OUT THERE" for ppl to see. Thats why its important to share AND share Ur own closet.
Its like going to the Mall. U walk around looking at the items in the windows to shop. U walk & look at a lot of stores. Well, how R U going to do that on the internet?
U share A LOT.

@amiaeagle As far as pricing, thats up to U but just remember...we can make OFFERS & most do! 9/10 Ur going to get offers which lowers Ur net PLUS Posh takes 20%! So, price it reasonably KNOWING they'll probably make an offer.
U can always say "accepting reasonable offers" in Ur listings or a sign as well.
Theres nothing wrong w/Ur pics. We all use some kind of app to enhance our pics. I use PHOTO GRID. FREE App on internet.

Advertise it ahead of time. Theres a special Jewelry Share Group I send ppl to thats everyday I can send U the tag when Ur ready too.
Also, Ill send U a FOLLOW GAME which increases Ur exposure to new ppl.
Theres plenty of things to do but....its work too, if U want to be successful. Just hang in there. I was the EXACT same way!

As well of course of our all important followers. Also because of shipping charges, I suspect the more items I have up the better chance I have of selling. (con.)

@katzkoz I will gladly take you up on your offer of both the way to get more followers, as well as the help getting my jewelry up and going. To be honest I feel on firmer ground with the jewelry. Up until a couple of years ago (I had a car plow into me as I was crossing the street), I was fairly successful selling costumes, regalia for Pow Wows, and jewelry. I never really bothered to advertise because I usually sold out. So I have to adjust my ideas on selling it.

@amiaeagle Thats it. Its totally a different venue when Ur on the internet using social medium. Its crazy....but, its really a numbers game until U get Ur regulars that FOLLOW U! Ive got some...but not enough. So, I have to be careful on "offers". U get a lot of low ballers...and U will...so, stand Ur ground & be patient.
Some of my jewelry has been there awhile & I've lowered it as far as I'm going to. Sux.

@katzkoz As with any business I know the more time I invest, the better chance I will have to become successful. I have to build a following, etc. Right now my closet is average. About what most people have up. I don't think I have a niche yet. I'm hoping the jewelry will change that. Btw, I LOVE your closet. Thanks again for your help now, and all future help.

@amiaeagle But....start advertising that Ure going to start selling Ur Hand Crafted jewelry and what kind. Get it up and maybe just take a picture of it and just say "coming soon....."
Thats what I do and U get TONS of likes.
Make the price HIGH! $10,000. SO when U actually LIST it, U drop the price to what U want & Posh AUTOMATICALLY informs all who "LIKED" it, that its on sale and available now.

@katzkoz Thanks! I will definately do that. I have some more inexpensive items ready, but I have several signature pieces will be ready by Monday. If I get a move on I can have one ready tonight and do like you suggested. (I'm a little nervous because my best pieces have leather spaces and some bone and I really don't want to offend anyone or attract haters).

@katzkoz I'm also glad you mentioned low ballers. Ones first instinct is to lower it and move it. Especially with my jewelry and regalia I've found if I don't sell it right away, it's only because somebody somewhere down the line hasn't discovered it yet. And when they do, they're delighted to pay a fair price.

@amiaeagle Yep.....on low ballers. There's a lot of them. Experienced ones too..... especially if Ur kinda new. They know U don't know. I've been hit a couple of times when I started. But keep prices fair unless they're like I said...signature, & U put a lot of time into them. But, start advertising when U get bear done Then, tag me and I'll start a "Welcome Our New Jeweler Posher" (or something like that) tag to a few that will pass it on.

@katzkoz Btw, your jewelry promotion would be awesome. And I will be going to your closet often to share. I do have one more question I've wondered about. When I follow someone I try to find at least two or three things I can like and share. Almost always my like is aimed at my followers that I have. Anotherwards if I see a cute size small dress I like it, knowing I will never buy it but hoping one of my followers will. Am i giving the seller false hope? Should I just share and not like?

@amiaeagle Posh says "we know that the 1st 2-5 listings will mostly be shared, so make those Ur 1st listings".
So, like I said, sometimes it's just a numbers game. The Feed is important because ALOT look at that to see what's being shared . Posh will accentuate what is trending too. So, there's so many factors involved. But, I usually share what's 1st because I know that's whats their best.
