jessicavale007 @capfan2014 hello! I’m new as you know. I think I am being scammed by a person claiming to want to purchase the sunglasses I just posted. I cannot get a hold of customer service, I don’t know the lay of the land. I see you’re seasoned. Perhaps you could tell me if what is happening is common practice or I am about to be ripped off. I’m sorry to bother you, but nobody to help with my question

capfan2014 @jessicavale007 so one nice thing about Poshmark is I have never had a problem getting paid. What makes you think it is a scam?

capfan2014 @jessicavale007 Hey, I just looked at your post and saw the comments about the sunglasses. I highly recommend not to take communication off poshmark. That's probably going to be a scam and I recommend reporting them. Poshmark is a great system and there is never any reason to take communication off poshmark to complete a sale.

jessicavale007 @capfan2014 Hello …The reason I think it is a scam is because the person told me they could not send their payment or I should say it would not go through. So they sent me an email link to customer support stating that I should email Poshmark support about the issue. I did send the email and received a reply that appeared to come from Poshmark.

jessicavale007 @capfan2014 It stated that I needed to get an Apple Card or an American Express card for 200.00and add that to my balance as it was required when selling an item over 100.00 as a first time seller. The buyer then asked if I received the email back and then all the sudden seemed to know all about this and encouraged me to go get a pre paid card so that I could add it to my balance so that their payment would go through.

jessicavale007 They told me once I purchased the card to take a photo of the front and back so they could help me make sure I got the right kind of card. I knew then that they were up to no good. I sent message to the REAL customer service via Poshmark and am waiting on a response. I will report them. What a shame people are like this. Anyway,I greatly appreciate your help. I look forward to doing some business together. Thanks again
