I was approved for disability retirement from teaching after becoming permanently disabled. As a result, I’ve gained weight and can no longer wear heels or fit into my XS,S clothing. I've taken exceptional care of my clothing and shoes -lots of Anthropologie brands. I have pets, but do have a non-smoking home. These are not rethrifted items; they were purchased by me and gently used, some were purchased and never worn. I have always dry cleaned my nicer clothing and wash in cold and hang dry.

vb2011 When I was trying to find a dress for an event, I kept gravitating to Poshmark and my experiences with the sellers and the quality of the items were much better than Ebay. So, I'm trying it out. :) I've never sold anything before, so the learning curve is high. LOL! It's been time consuming, but I'm hoping it will be a success.

abstractdreams Welcome to Posh Karen!💕Posh is full of ppl who are/were disabled & are trying to supplement their income. My mom's a 6.5 shoe & I'm always looking for flats/mules/slip-ons for her! Posh has a theory that larger (10+ items) do better. Sharing is HUGE! No one sees items unless they're shared. Tons of followers help too, since that's who sees your shares!👍🏽

vb2011 @abstractdreams Linda, those are great tips! I need to share more. How often should I self share? I'm working on getting more listed. I'm just so slow with getting the clothes ready to photo, photo and then the listings! I have tons to list. It's so hard to let go of these items -- especially the shoes. My husband has been pushing me to sell them for years. Plus, I keep getting distracted with Poshmark. LOL!

abstractdreams Since there are 3 Posh Parties most days, the thought is you should share 3x a day! Also I can't remember if u have one, but a Follow Me listing helps! An even faster way to get followers is to follow all the ppl on Party Host listings. The Poshers there, saying 'Congrats!' are active (very important) & fired UP!👍🏽💋

abstractdreams It is distracting! Lol! I always say I have Posh A.D.D.! Listing items is time consuming, so list an item or two (or a few), 2-3x a week to get started. I list items like jewelry & shoes on a wicker stool or small table I have, sitting down in front of my door wall.

abstractdreams That's good to hear! You can look online for measurement how-to guidelines. The two most important to my buyers are pit to pit & length. I try to notice if front/back look different & will measure front (pit to pit) & back (pit to pit), then add the two numbers. Always include the word "approx" when you list measurements, so ppl are aware that they're not exact.👍🏽💕

vb2011 @lingerielust Hi, Kristi! Even in your pinkie is enough! CRPS is so painful and you will have to be so careful with surgeries, not to get injured, etc. Mine started in my right foot 5 years ago and I fought my way back through physical therapy, nerve blocks, meds, willpower, positivity & wonderful doctors to a place where it was manageable and I got back into regular shoes. 😜

vb2011 @lingerielust Unfortunately, I was reinjured about two years ago. Ended up with permanently torn retinaculum in foot & 2 tendons slip in and out. Can't get surgery to fix due to CRPS. Now have CRPS in both feet and to a lesser extent in my legs too. I got a SCS & Neurotin helps control the nerve pain/jolts. I have to always wear a brace. 💩😏😬 Now, I'm retired, stress free & enjoying being at home with my fur babies. Having fun setting up my closet. 👍🏼🛍👠

carriagecouture Hi Karen! I have RSDS/CRPS, as well!! I was bedridden and in a wheelchair for quite some time until I found a treatment that actually works. Doctors told me I would never walk again, but they were wrong. I developed POTS from so many issues with RSDS but hey, I'm up and moving so big deal. I'm not taking any medications either! vb2011 @carriagecouture Hi, Candace! You are the 2nd posher I've met with CRPS. Yep, did the bedridden and wheelchair also and still deal with this off and on due to tendons moving over peroneal nerve and causing the electrical jolts to worsen. Can't do much when that happens but ride it out until the tendons slip back in and the severe nerve jolts/spasms calm down because with every step & even without walking, I get the cattle prod jolts from foot up my leg.

vb2011 @carriagecouture For the most part, I've been doing better for a few months. 😀 My turning point was getting a SCS. By that point I was in a wheelchair and didn't want to take anymore meds. I think there are more suffering with RSDS than anyone knows, it's just commonly misdiagnosed. It's such a strange disease and doctors have no idea how to diagnose or how to treat it so they try to label it as something else. Will say a prayer for you this morning! <3

vb2011 @kimmando Thanks for asking! He had all of us -- hospital staff included -- worried for awhile. He slept and was unresponsive for a couple of days, but woke up and was alert, trying to talk, smiling and even laughing yesterday. He even moved his right foot a bit. He's out of it again today but is better than he was! 🙂👍🏻 I slept well for the first time in almost a week after seeing his improvement yesterday. It's great to see him smile.
