poshmark_paige Hey hun. I just wanted to let you know it’s truly not a big deal about the shoes. The ONLY reason I’m not keeping and attempting to reposh - because they’re a great shoe - is that I think you must have used windex or other cleaner to clean them? The shoes reacted badly & have a strong smell of cleaner. I know nothing was intentional & that you’re learning so I just wanted to help. White vinegar is usually the BEST cleaner & wont leave any smells behind. 😘

kellyjosey @paige661 OMG I TOTALLY gave them a quick wipe before i packed them as they were a bit dusty. I had NO IDEA they would react.....NOW I understand....heck I thought I was doing a good thing just touching them up before I packed,I guess that's why I was so shocked on the decline...I try to pack each thing I sell with a little extra love and I was crushed when I got the notification. Truly I spent a LOT for those shoes! Lesson learned!

kellyjosey I think it stung even a little more as I've got 2 purchases in a row that have been awful. The icing on the cake was the dress I got Saturday that was supposed to be war once and literally must have been war on a hot hot summer day never washed or dry clean and stuffed in a Box. When I opened it it smelled so bad I gagged....... Knowing how hard I tried to make each one of my purchases a little bit extra I guess it just hurt I'm sorry

poshmark_paige @kellyjosey oh I know you did! That’s why I bought them 😂. I’ve been selling for a few years and I learned the hard way a few times that anything with a scent will burn you! White vinegar is your BFF, especially for spots or touchups. I think it even gets smell out, like if you thrift. Had it not been for the smell I would have kept them & tried to get the scuffs off. I don’t like opening cases or returning!

kellyjosey I buy and sell horses all over the US and Canada. It's just kind of a hobby but it's worked really well for me for extra side money. I've sold everything from English to polo but mostly we rodeo horses. Actually one of my clients is a duck dynasty crew. Makes you realize how small world it is. I'm really excited about these dresses I just got a new job in marketing and I need some close ASAP

poshmark_paige @kellyjosey yes. Long story short, I was robbed over the holidays and the shoes apparently were also taken. They took almost all my Posh inventory but I hadn’t checked the shoe closet. I refunded you $20 and sent you like six pairs of boots and sandals (and a J Lo tunic) instead! Good stuff, Clarks, Vera Wang, all either brand new or like new. If you hate them or aren’t happy with what I sent as a replacement I’m happy to have you return.

foxhuntgirl1 @kellyjosey I haven't posted a review because while you wrapped and packaged beautifully, the patent leather red backs are so sticky from not being stored properly nor cleaned periodically over time that the tissue paper stuck to the sticky area. Now there are stains on them from the paper. I have tried everything to get them out nor will the sticky come off. I'm so disappointed as I love these shoes.

foxhuntgirl1 @kellyjosey I Googled it and it said that patent leather gets sticky, over time, when not cleaned & stored properly. They weren’t wet, they were like rubber that gets weird and sticky, over time, like rubber handles on Oxo kitchen tools like carrot shredders or can openers. Know what I mean?

foxhuntgirl1 @kellyjosey But the worst part was that the colored tissue paper you wrapped them in stuck to the sticky parts of the shoes and permanently stained the red back areas. I sell vintage online (Retrowench on Etsy and Foxhuntgirl1 on Poshmark). I always put items in a ziplock bag then wrap the pretty paper over the bags just do no colors ever bleed onto the items. Just a suggestion😊
