I took my recent direct deposits and decided to just go buy a few things-spontaneously, and w/o checking my phone once for comps or trends of any sort- all in honor of this new found feeling of freedom that is draped in excitement and ...idk how else to describe it... a feeling of contentment and being- or @least becoming- comfortable in my own internet skin...and in my closet(lolololz....that is a very strange statement for a middle aged gay woman to make...🤣

vixen_van_gogh @ladyarachnid In addition, I find myself- multiple times each day, looking at a screen where the most lucrative choice at my fingertips is to not only enter "my closet" but to edit it and rearrange it- constantly. and so I do. and I thoroughly enjoy it- especially the irony of it and I LOL irl every single time. it's insanely surreal but absolutely hilarious.

My gf just hit the 50 mark last week and I cant wait to show that to her. You look amazing! It's fun defying the aging process isn't it.

vixen_van_gogh @ladyarachnid I need to update my own profile pic now. ( as mine is a few years old. Not many years- but still isnt exactly recent. My current pic is probably 38 and I'm 43. Yup time to update.) It's really just bc Ive been a photographer(among other things... Renaissance woman is the long and short of it) since I was 1st able to hold a camera... many, many moons ago.

ladyarachnid @vixen_van_gogh Wow...so many things to respond to! If you had told me a year ago that PM would be my new fun and somewhat lucrative hobby I'd have said get your head checked. I've never had much of a personal sense of style and lately have been on some meds that make anything I wear look like a potato sack. So PM is helping me find my "what if" style and it's allowing me to experience it vicariously, at least! I just turned 51, think the photo of me is 48 but still accurate.

ladyarachnid @vixen_van_gogh I have to credit my mom's genes for my appearance...she's just turned 76 and you would never know. I used to tell people I had the same pact with Satan as Dick Clark bc he looked so young for so long but then he went downhill, poor guy (RIP). Am reading this frikkin awesome book about Gen X women and their angst ridden mid life crises and it's so spot on, is helping me accept my numerical situation in life as you so eloquently put it. :)

vixen_van_gogh @ladyarachnid lol I heard that-all of that.I too wldv told sm1 they were off their rocker if they'd had told me I'd be even remotely involved in PM let alone gaining momentum daily...id have told them the drugs they were on were not good and they shld seek out better vices immediately. and yet here I am. lol Even when I'm busy af like last cpl days(sorry for late reply brw)I stll find myself making time to get in my 30 mins of "poshing" in at least 3 or 4 times a day.

I was well into my 30s before I even knew I was pretty and still couldn't say it until just before 40. I wldnt say gorgeous by any means but I absolutely adore you for saying it:) I'm also a multi media/medium artist and van Gogh is my fav. several years ago I started signing my paintings as Vixen van Gogh and now it's my go to user name for pretty much everything. I dig it too. thanks again!
