silsprbea @lesleymmc how do the shipping and handling drops work? I lowered my prices on some stuff tonight by at least 11% and saw notices go out for the price drop only but for this purse and another dress the notices didn't work. I think it's because they were my first postings and I was messing with the prices. Thank you for any tips with this you can give me; wed some posh mentors!

lesleymmc @silsprbea I'm not sure why it didn't work. If you reduce it more 10 or more percent, you get the price drop. But under 10 you don't. The explanation you gave me is the only thing I can tell you. If you dropped it less than 10 percent then again less than 10 percent it won't work even though you probably dropped it more than 10 percent overall its only registering each time you do it not overall. lesleymmc @silsprbea (cont) Hope that helps. Maybe next time drop it once at just more than 10 percent. I always round it up. Like if 10 percent is $1.50 i round it to $2 just to make it easier and make sure it he price is a whole number. Hope this helps 🤗

silsprbea @lesleymmc that makes sense. I guess i just have to be really careful when I lower that its greater than 10% in one fell swoop, which is not what happened with the purse and dress. I saved it and then re-edited within seconds. Now I know, ugh. I've only been on here less than two weeks so still trying to figure it out.

I've done a couple this week, in ten days sold 23 or 24 items in 14 sales, so it does pay off to expose, expose, expose. You just have to complete by midnight. Only share once from each closet / 5 different items. That's it ;) I hope all is well with the doctors visit. I am retiring early this evening so I look again and hopefully check out with my little bundle :)

lesleymmc @1crystalpanda I'm still learning the ropes her in Poshmark. I'm not sure how someone is selected to host a party but anyone can suggest closets and Host picks. I usually look at all the parties and congratulation some of the Host picks and Share the item to my followers. If you follow PM editor you should get all the invites to parties. You should always share your closet to the parties. It's great for closet recognition. Hope that makes sense? If you have any questions just let me know 💕🤗

Basically you like the post, follow everyone who's already liked the post then Share the post and check back frequently to pick up more followers. The poster will make an edit usually when there are more people to follow so that's why You need to like it so you'll get the message. (cont)

To get into a party, at the bottom left of the lower key bar you'll see "shop", tap that it will open a shop feed for people/brands/likes/parties. If s party is active it will be in black, otherwise all previous parties will in neutral color with party name. (cont)

lesleymmc @1crystalpanda So go into the party you want, in this case the active party, and you will see options for "host pick" and other options. Tap that and there will be a live feed. You can open up items and comment etc. hope that answers your questions. 💕😊

forrestsnowcat Hello Lesley! I am also a Posh Ambassador. Been using the edit, next, list feature. Your advice post. Someone told me you can only use this once an hour. I edit, next, list a blouse it will only show up once that hour in the feed. I disagreed. I tested it. I edit, next, listed an item 6 times over 1 hr. Each time I checked the feed it was at the top with a different time stamp. She told me I am wasting my time edit, next, listing an item multiple times an hour. Please advise. Thanks. Lynne😊🌺🌺

lesleymmc @forrest19 hi! Thanks for reaching out. Here’s my experience with PM. Everything is based on algorithms which are constantly changing. So although I feel ENL is the best way to share, there may have been some changes to the method since I wrote this listing, which includes PM’s response to me. I think it was wise of you to test it out for yourself. Everyone runs their closet different and we all have our own opinions especially when it concerns the the benefits of PM. (cont.)

doublesouthern Wondering about the move movement of items in our closet’s. I think part of it is fun part of it is luck, part of it is timing And I was thinking more of it is pricing but I do believe that his salsa luck because you never know who’s looking and what they want it’s not your typical business plan and certainly more fun.

lesleymmc @doublesouthern you’re exactly right. A lot of it is luck and you do never know what someone is looking for. Usually just when I’m about to take something out of my closet because it’s been sitting there...BOOM...it sells lol. So you just never know. On the other hand, Poshmark is based on all sorts of algorithms that’s pretty touch to explain but it’s a process of techniques to sell by in hopes to get your items moving

lesleymmc @fnchgrl ok so I think you need to create a new listing for and start over but I’m really not worried about it. We’ll just keep it as is and call it a night. Next time you want to reduce the s&h it needs to be done by the seller. It’s ok we learn by our mistakes and I wouldn’t even call this one. No worries..really. It’s all ok.

empty_my_hanger @lesleymmc you had asked about piling, if it had shrunk from original use. On first notice I didn’t see a lot of piling. When I held it up I noticed more. I didn’t want to sell something that you may not be happy with. If it definitely doesn’t look bad in my opinion but since I’ve just started this journey I wanted you to not get something you may not be happy with. I can repost with more close up pics if you just want to look at it and let me know.

lesleymmc @empty_my_hanger oh ok gotcha. Yes I always ask that because I know certain fabrics pil and shrink. Ironically enough, I just received a cute tee I wanted and asked all those questions and seller denied all including stains. I received it and it was the size that a toddler can where lol. Ok small but not THAT small plus it had stains and significant piling. Normal piling is fine but shrinkage that loses a whole size or more plus stains are just wrong. I don’t even donate in that condition.

lesleymmc @empty_my_hanger (cont) certain brands I know pretty well such as Gap/Old Navy and know how the fabric wears. Usually it holds up pretty well unless you’ve washed and dried on hot. Polyester still usually keeps its shape. Off you want to relist but make it “not for sale “ then tag me your welcome to do so and I will look at it. Also measurements are very helpful. It helps the buyer and will save you from a case being opened and you losing if you have measurements.

empty_my_hanger @lesleymmc well that’s not right. I do my best to disclose anything I see with something I list. I bought about 8 shirts over the weekend and all looked good when I got them. When I got them home there were things I found with them like piling and small holes or stains. Some stains I can get out, some not. I will repost and let you know and I also include measurements of all items now.

I don’t like opening cases or having to discuss an item I received in a condition undisclosed with a seller , but it’s all about learning.

I started this business as a way to help bring in some money to get credit cards paid off before we build our house. I definitely need a shaver and will purchase on soon.
