ceddi221 Hey! I just VERY recently bought your herringbone necklace, and was going to wear it today for the first time. As i took it out of the box with the red tissue paper i noticed that it’s broken! Is there any way we can resolve this problem??? I was really looking forward to being able to enjoy this necklace! From what I’ve heard, herringbones are NOT repairable!!!

specialk34711 @ceddi221 Broken? It was 100% NOT broken when I shipped and I made sure to wrap it in a hard box to ensure it would not get damaged when shipped. I would never misrepresent or ship something that was not what was listed. I have all the photos of what was sent.

ss125 @specialk34711 Hi! I received the past, present, future diamond necklace. As per your description I had the "diamonds" tested at a jewelry store, and I am sad to discover these are not diamonds... The necklace is for my sister who is turning 50, so it is an important gift.

specialk34711 @ss125 The diamonds are real. The necklace was purchased at Kay jewelers and the item is as described. No I will not give you a discount for the necklace because what I sent was real diamonds as described in the post.

ss125 @specialk34711 Well, I had them tested, and each one of the stones were clearly not diamonds. How much did the necklace cost new if you bought it from Kay? Do you have proof they are real?

ss125 @specialk34711 I sincerely am very sorry if these stones were sold to you from Kay, as real diamonds. They test for man-made moissanite stones 100%. I took them to a jeweler for testing, I was both told and I researched online that unfortunately Kay is not 100% honest about their stones. If this necklace had been real diamonds, at Kay's it would have cost you $1500-$2500 depending on the size and clarity of the diamonds.

ss125 @specialk34711. At another quality retailer the same necklace with better quality diamonds would have cost at minimum $3500. I just want you to know. IF these were real diamonds you would have received a diamond certificate with it, with the type, clairty and size of the stones stated. Did you receive a diamond certificate? I know selling on Poshmark can be tough, I even had a buyer cut holes in a jacket they bought from me, to justify returning it. It leaves you sour taste..

ss125 @specialk34711. In any case, that is why I suggested a discount, just to make it more fair since these necklaces with "simulated diamonds" typically sell for $65-$95. I never try to get something for nothing, I always try to be fair, no matter what side I am on. And, I honestly believe that these were sold to you as "diamonds". But, by the price alone, YOU actually have proof that they are not. Again, for fairness and courtesy, would you consider a "symbolic" discount? Best wishes, Sandra

specialk34711 @ss125 If you look up the review on that tester (Gemoro ultratester)it shows that most of the time it shows up as moissanite when tested not diamonds. I guess it’s a cheaper tester that pawn shops use. It was purchased at Christmas time so very discounted to the $600 price. I am still working on getting the paperwork from the store but again would never misrepresent anything.

specialk34711 @ss125 again I have reached out to Kay as well as a local jeweler that I visited before listing on Posh (for exactly this reason) to get records. I will have to post anyway because I do not want others to read these posts and think I misrepresent items. It was purchased at a discount from the store and a family friend also worked there so me paying $600 was a great deal that others may not have gotten.

ceddi221 @specialk34711 I took the necklace into Kays Jewelers for them to look at it. The necklace was broken before, but the two pieces had been fit back together. The jeweler showed how this was done and they held until they wee moved around as they would be under normal wearing conditions and the pieces came back apart.
