shaveso17 @mitzpaws1 Haha, I was visiting Nova Scotia with family, and we went on an awesome hike — cold, but it was still summer! I am super new to this, and would like to be more successful in sales. I’d really like to sell neat stuff I find at thrift stores (usually w/o name brand tag), but I don’t know how to ‘label’ that kind of thing. Thoughts?

mitzpaws1 I label items with no tag as "unknown" or "no tag".... if it has a tag- leave it on. Not the thrift store tag though. I list original price as "777" or something like that and then put a price I think is fair. PM takes a fee also. Poshers like to "offer" to reduce price and bundle to save on S/H. I price low so it is fun to shop and poshers might look at my closet again.

mitzpaws1 I think many people find items at thrift stores, list items that didn't fit or they don't wear anymore. Stay super honest in the pics and description and list any problems, the measurements and the fabric content. Don't be afraid to say no if someone low balls you.

shaveso17 @mitzpaws1 Okay, gotcha. To me, seeing something w/o a name brand tag is no problem, but I feel that people can’t search those items as easily and may not be as interested if it’s not from a well-known brand.

mitzpaws1 I found that a name brand is important but sometimes it is just a really neat style or color that makes the item. Goodwill tends to place a high price tag on name brands which is getting frustrating for me.

shaveso17 @mitzpaws1 Yep, they’re definitely figuring it out. I think my favorite things I’ve gotten from Goodwill had no name-brand tag and were just cool finds! That’s the thrifting I like. 😊👍
