thefunkyroyals @homedesignchic Hi! I'm no longer self employed in design due to health issues & a whole bunch of major surgeries I ended up having to go thru. I do love it tho & keep up on everything just out of the love for it. I have several creative backgrounds. Before interior design I was a hair/makeup/clothing stylist. Had to quit that when my spine surgeries started. So I went back to school for interior design. I had been doing it for yrs for family/friends..

thefunkyroyals CONT: So I went to school for it & started doing it until I was in a couple really bad accidents. (Not my fault) & that kind of changed my life forever. I love anything creative. I've been into photography since I was a little kid, taught art to underprivileged kids, got into making just about anything. Oh, BTW, we are neighbors, kind of, I'm just below you in OR. ! How was the summer there? We had a long hot one but a week ago it just stopped, now it's fall all of a sudden!

homedesignchic @theroyalfunkies So sorry to hear about your accident and back surgeries. It’s amazing how life can change so quickly. Sounds like you’re keeping busy with creative pursuits, which is always fun. I’m into photography a bit, too. Started on a Hawaii vacation several years ago. Such beautiful scenery. I love the landscapes and tropical plants/flowers. I’ve always admired hair/makeup styling, being design based. Sadly, I don’t have any talent to speak of in either of those fields!

homedesignchic @theroyalfunkies I did mrktg/event planning for years, then went to school for InDes. Did well and worked hard! But graduated after stock market fell, so no jobs! Worked at upscale furniture store to learn furniture lines. Then started my own biz. But the market didn’t improve, so I did projects for family/friends. And started ballroom dancing until I injured my back. (Took 3 years to heal.) Recently, I remodeled our home. Felt nice to get back into it!
