knits4sanity @mymarket4all - I got rid of several items. I know the snow pants wouldn’t work until next year anyway and the pants would be another year or two as well. And then I removed a couple of pants for my youngest daughter. I didn’t want to but I’m hoping that and the one pair of shoes with the other items will get it down to two shipments. knits4sanity @mymarket4all - Haha! Those nice things in my closet are things my son got as gifts ages ago but now can’t use. Either they are too small or out of season. My kids wear 95% second hand clothing. We can’t afford anything else. If I find something new at a thrift store I generally re-sell. That probably sounds horrible. I adore my kids but I also want to feed them. (But if they get clothing as gifts, we keep them and wear them- when they fit!)

People can only purchase their clothing be attending a home party, called “Pop UPS” or LLR is sold EXTENSIVELY through the social media site, Facebook. They sell a limited number is styles but all of their clothes are super comfy and basic, making virtually every item extremely versatile.

mymarket4all A buyer opened a case against me saying that the item I sold was not authentic. Thank god, I found a receipt for it. I have no idea why the buyer would claim this. There is no base for it what so ever. Has this ever happened to you? Any suggestions?

mymarket4all I would like to think that the buyer legitimately felt that I sold the fake item. However, who goes through the trouble to make the imitation product of something for an item that costs less than $30.00. There isn't any profit to be had. Anyway, fortunately, I have the receipt purchased from the original store and emailed it to Poshmark with a letter. I shall see how it will be handled.

However, I have just checked my email and found out that Poshmark ruled in favor of the buyer. I am stunned, disappointed and upset for the following reasons.

mymarket4all Poshmark informed me that the case was opened because the buyer was questioning the authenticity of the item. I rebutted by presenting the receipt. Without any further notification to me, Poshmark decided to refund the money to the buyer because, now, for a different reason; the buyer is complaining the color does not match the photo.

mymarket4all I was not given a chance to defend my integrity because Poshmark made the decision without notifying me that the complain of the buyer changed from ‘non-authentic’ to ‘wrong color’. Poshmark should have showed me the picture buyer had presented to them. At the very least, Poshmark should have notified me the change of the buyer’s reason for complaining and allowed me a chance to support my position. This is what I am so upset about.

mymarket4all At my defense, it was NWT item. I used the stock photo and the name of the color from the catalog of this brand. How much more accurate can it get? Anyway, I don’t even know what happens to 20% of my sales Poshmark deducted and who is responsible for the return shipping.

Sadly, this case is now closed but they need to know your side and perspective of what happened so that hopefully there will be future improvement in communication.

mymarket4all Hi! One of the businesses my husband and I have is a very small restaurant specializes in teriyaki. It is called Yogis Teriyaki House in Las Vegas 4825 Fort Apache location. We had it for over 13 years.

mymarket4all Unfortunately, during those years, my husband and I both have been dealing with multiple and very significant medical issues. So, we were not able to keep up with exploding technology. No website completed and no social media exposure. We are in our 40’s, so, this fact is little embarrassing. Although, customers have been posting and rating, we never followed up. I don’t know what people have been saying about the restaurant.

mymarket4all Among the medical issues we have been dealing for over ten years, the main issue which has been getting the most of our attention for last 18 months is my husband’s advance cancer. Today, we are going in for a pre-medical exam he needs in prep for the third surgery he will have on the November 15th. The surgeon gave us 60% positive out come. We are rolling dice. Wish us luck!!!

I am SO sorry to hear of your husband’s cancer! My thoughts will be with you at tomorrow’s appointment. Cancer is just atrocious and devastating for everyone it affects- the patient, the caregivers, everyone.

mymarket4all The case that was opened by a buyer is finally resolved. There were many twists and turns but at the end, Poshmark credited me $10.00. I need to be more detailed with my listings. It must be rewarding to work with kids. You are a good person.

knits4sanity @mymarket4all - Well, I’m glad THAT is at least behind you! I try to take lots of pictures- document size, any flaws, fabric content, brand names, etc. But even then you just never know. Subbing is kind of a miserable job and the most rewarding of jobs. I’m too tired to get into it all now but, yes, teaching does have its rewards. And the special education room is probably my favorite despite the extreme behavior problems, learning disabilities, etc.

mymarket4all Thank you for your concern and support. The surgery was initiated laparoscopically with five small incisions, but as anticipated, there were complications. The surgeon had to open him up. It was NOT due to incompetence of the surgeon, but luck would have it, all three surgeries my husband had to endure for past 18 months were all followed by complications. It was pure hell. Finally, when I had a chance to dose off and woke up, a nurse told me it was Saturday 3pm.

mymarket4all When there are complications, additional MDs within the hospital system along with MDs who treats my husband in clinical settings from various specialties get consulted. Once there is disagreement among those doctors, too often, their egos and the politics get in the way of patient care. This always makes me furious. I intervened and brought my husband home today to take care of him.

knits4sanity @mymarket4all -You need to storm your post office!!! Clearly you do not have your package. They absolutely HAVE to talk with the postal worker who was working Saturday. It was likely not your regular carrier either because of the holiday weekend. I am thinking if it was indeed left with an individual then it must have been delivered to the wrong address. But there is no way the address could be wrong because, as you know, Posh gives you the shipping label.

You may have noticed I have four kids (a couple who have significant disabilities), plus I’m a substitute teacher (most often in special education classrooms), work about two other jobs, and I LOVE all of it but it can lead a person to the edge sometimes. Knitting is my peace. I don’t have nearly enough time for it and I rarely keep what I make. I generally knit for others. It’s more about the process than the product for me.

I'm 57 now, but I still think of her daily. My favorite hobby is reading. I have hundreds of books because I don't like reading from the computer -- I love the turning of the pages and feeling the book in my hands. I love photography and art... and clothes shopping! HAHA! However, I have too many clothes.

larsoninak We’ve been in the same 1,550’ sq ft house for over 32 years and completely understand the desire for more room. You take all those years and cram them all into a few rooms and i get it. We only had two kids (now 32 and 36), but I always wished I could have had a third. They are hard work but worth every minute.

larsoninak Thanks for the compliment on the weight loss. It wasn’t something I had planned on doing, but a year and a half ago I was told I was pré-diabetic. I was 5’3 “ and 145 lbs. My doctor told me to lose a few pounds and adjust my diet. I cut carbs and sugar. The weight literally fell off. Thirty pounds in three months. Now my numbers are perfect! Congrats to you, too!!

Plus the eldest baked a raspberry pie (using our own raspberries) and submitted a drawing. The middle daughter baked cookies and is showing some home grown veggies. 7lovesoles Yes you should. I bet they will be nice and popular. I have no hair so the skull cap beanies are my favorite. Ladies use to donate them to chemo patients but we never had the pleasure of meeting them personally. I wish I could have because I would have asked her to make me more. So i only have one that I feel is perfect. I can wear it inside or outdoors. It’s not fluffy or crazy colors although it is colorful. If I lose it I will be extremely sad because I haven’t found anything like it.

knits4sanity @kathleenlent - I get the “sick of being sick.” And I am sorry. We have a weather front coming in and my head is starting to revolt. I’m afraid knitting and crochet are likely to never be lucrative. Even working on commission, I still only “earn” $2-$3 per hour of labor. But you are right; it’s rewarding on its own merit. Hence, why I’m “knits4sanity.”
