Good morning ladies!!! So as many of you probably know I haven't been on PM but for 2 months now (and am loving it!!!). It was recently brought to my attention by a great PFF that being tagged for a party is not always the best, especially those who receive many more news feeds in a day than I ever would.

I must admit I had never thought about it from that perspective as I have been tagging closets for various upcoming parties who are not only awesome sharers but have amazing closets (in my humble opinion). However, I would never want to make any of you lovely ladies feel overwhelmed by receiving recommendations (sometimes a few in a day) so please do NOT hesitate to let me know if you'd rather not be tagged for a party.

Wendy, I get tagged on average 5x per party. I see all of those as people that think highly of me and my closet and want to ensure that I stay in the loop. Thank you for your warm sentiments Wendy! It was my Mom....she passed away on the 22nd of July. My wonderful sister-in-law, Darla (@alrady) came to my house and shipped my sales in the meantime. She also put the beautiful "late shipping" notice up in my closet for me. Thanks again for all the recommendations/nominations you've given me. πRead all the rules, and stay compliant no matter what you see in some closets.
πAvoid following or sharing non-compliant closets.
πShare your closet daily, especially to parties!
πShare 5-10 items often from closets you follow (only Posh-compliant), but NOT to parties.
πFollow @poshuniversity and @official_forum for great info.
πAsk questions- Poshers love to help!

Actually, it's struck a chord in me as I think I've become too reliant on share groups instead of sharing my many PFF's awesome closets let alone my own. I have long work hours and it seems I've over-committed myself at times and then feel overwhelmed. I try to share those I follow closely but definitely not enough.

@armani4 Hi Wendy! No apologies necessary, really. We all help each other, because no one came out of the womb a successful Posher! IMHO, I prefer sharing on my own. I also get overwhelmed easily, and I'm retired (how sad is that?)! My reason for avoiding share groups is because I thoroughly, with a fine-tooth comb, vet each and every closet I follow to make sure it's compliant with Posh rules (I even check for comments about other sites and offering to take π

@armani4 You don't really have that option in a share group, and invariably, someone will say all the closets in the group are Posh-compliant, when they're not. It would take forever to scan them all. Also, even though you really don't need to follow every closet you share unless they're your size or style, I follow them anyway so I don't need to vet them again every time I return shares. If I've already followed them, I know they're Posh-compliant.

I say that because as I am such a giving person, to a fault at times, I began poshing by just randomly sharing people who shared my items without checking their entire closet first only to find they were not compliant. So I guess no Shop my Shares listing for me-haha! But live and learn.

@blobue Hi Becky, I'm so sorry I missed your host pick last!!! It was another long week for me and I was shared out by last night. I feel bad as I haven't been able to join the parties as of late to celebrate with my friends. I have a unique job wherein I work at an office during the day & then transcribe at night and am often running on less sleep than I would like. PM has become almost a 3rd job and I'm getting worn down.

I took a stroll through your closet and you have one unsupported item (the boxing gloves) and one item (the Chanel shoes) that reads as if they were purchased off site. Those two listings will prevent you from getting Host Pick(s) and, more importantly, from becoming a Suggested User/trusted seller on PM.

You could also join share groups which will help introduce you to other posh compliant ladies and get your closet out there more throughout the day.

@lshopnyc #1...Would love to tell you about share groups! You can sign up daily for various share groups in different ladiesβ closets. Once you tag your name in the share group, people then share the # of items required (listed in the rules of the group) and you share the same # of items for each person signed up. Some groups let you share beginning as early as 5 a.m. your time and others do not allow you to start sharing until the group is closed.

@lshopnyc #2...Typically you have until midnight your time to complete all shares. As long as you read the rules of each share group and follow them, youβre good to go. That said, prior to joining and especially since youβre new share groups, you will want to make sure you get βapprovedβ by the host (which you should as youβve become posh compliant as of today!). :-) Then once the host approves you to sign up, feel free to do so.

Then you just complete the certification which is basically you accept their terms that you will not become non-compliant while having a boutique. Hope that helps!!
