designbyyilda Hiย Cindy, Welcome to Posh. It is a very fun and social site. I am one of the Posh ambassador if I can help let me know. I see we share a common love for Disney. If you choose to sell on Posh focus on sharing your closet several times a day. Don't decline a low ball offer either counter or let it expire. It hurts your ratings when you decline. If you choose just to buy. Please be considerate with your offers. Hope you enjoy Poshing. Happy shopping๐Ÿค—,

wildblume @designbyyilda Hi, thank you for the warm welcome! And thanks so much for sharing my closets! I happened to chance on one of your listings on the feed and visited your closet and I really like it ๐Ÿ˜Š. Greatly appreciate those sound advice you have given. I understand about the need to share in order to sell on Posh but unfortunately I just don't have that kind of time or even time to while away on social media.

wildblume @designbyyilda I also find it "incredulous" that I'd have to pay Posh 20% fee (one of the highest among selling platforms, more than eBay and Amazon) yet I have to do the marketing for them instead of them doing it...LOL! Oh well, that's life I guess... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

designbyyilda @wildblume Hi Cindy, Not sure if you have done your research. I sell on Amazon and the selling fee is the highest if you are FBA. It is almost 34%. Also on Amazon you have to pay a $1.00 per listing or $34.99 membership a month.

designbyyilda *bay is not that far behind. I also sell on *bay. It is a little over 10% then you have to pay Pay fees which is 8%. If you want your product promoted which is recommended you pay anywhere between 3-5%. Also on *bay if you want to have unlimited listing you have to pay a monthly fee.

designbyyilda So Posh is average. I even sell on Mer** and they also only charge 10% but again it is recommended that the seller pay for the shipping. There shipping is high and it ends up at 20%. They are all neck and neck. Hope this helps.๐Ÿ™‚

designbyyilda Sorry to be so cryptic Posh would not let me use other site names.

wildblume @designbyyilda well, lets see - for the so-called higher fee one has to pay to ebay and amazon, they get access to over 100 mil and 650 mil customer base, ready to buy traffic and no need to do additional marketing on social media (or else, go set up shop with shopify). With Posh, it is barely 8 mil monthly traffic. I guess the maths is pretty obvious. You pay the fee to get ready access to the traffic not help to create traffic for a start-up looking to break big in the e-commerce world.

wildblume @designbyyilda Also, the amount of time one needs to spend to market on Posh, that beggars the question, how much is your time really worth? That's a cost too that may not be readily factored in by peep, time that can be used for something more worthwhile.

wildblume @designbyyilda Just my 2 cents. I cross sell on a number of platforms and am not putting all my faith in Posh because it is asking for so much of my time which is worth more than the fee money.

designbyyilda @wildblume Yes, I agree you do have to put in a good chunk of time on Posh. But I have struggled on those other platforms. Especially E*** and Ama*** I have had more sales on Posh because of the social aspect. I have only been doing online selling now 10 months. We shall see. Have a great evening. Good meeting ๐Ÿค—

wildblume @designbyyilda Yeah, you are right that Posh thrives on the social selling aspect and has built quite a welcoming community. Posh is definitely more fun to sell on and I guess many people are selling and enjoying the fun and social part which I certainly do...lol : ) Competition is def on another level on eBay and Amazon. Anyway, glad to hear your doing well here on Posh and keep going ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
