metzger22 You are so Pretty and your babies are AdOrAbLe!!!! When I was younger, and I lived in the country, I raised a part bobcat named, Zoey and she was my baby. Then she had kittens, and disappeared. Don't know what happened to her. :( But, she was the sweetest thing ever.

ambergraef @metzger22 You are TOO sweet- THANK you!☺️ And it is sadly rare to come across couples who are best friends like us, so it always excites me to meet them too! Also, I love your story about the pet bobcat! It seems like I probably spent my entire childhood fantasizing about rescuing and raising wild baby animals, lol! Sadly it never actually happened for me😉 I hope your baby is still safe and sound even if she isn't with you right now....

ambergraef @metzger22 .... I lost one of my cats earlier this year to a coyote - I know how hard it is to lose our pets 😰 But, know you will love the sweater and I'm so glad I'm sending it to an awesome home☺️ Your pictures will be beautiful!

sarasja I love how much your closet features books (Marilynne Robinson, no less!), vintage elements, and cats--I surround myself with all of those, too!

ambergraef @sarasja thank you so much! Those things are some of my favorites too (OBViously, lol)! I feel like we would get along....😉😄 And I have too many pretty books to not use them for props! Marilyn Robinson is one of my favorite authors - "Gilead" changed my life!

ambergraef @sarasja I think maybe you are my Northeast "life twin"!😉😋 And you are sweet to call my amateur iPhone pictures "photography"!😅 But I do enjoy it A LOT and would love to take it more seriously at some point! To call my hubby "outdoorsy" would be an understatement - I'm sure you know what I mean, lol! He is a traveling physical therapist, so we live all over the place on short assignments so we feel really lucky to get to see the country that way😊

ambergraef @sarasja I actually was born in the Northeast (near Boston) but grew up in the "deep South" even though most of my family is from the north. So I have a soft spot for the northeast. We did a year-long assignment in Bar Harbor, Maine a while ago and it was such a wonderful experience!

sarasja Wow, funny! My husband is a geologist, so we travel a lot outside of the academic year (he teaches at a college outside Philly, where we live now), so I do know what you mean. And I was born near Boston, too--and I have close family in the South, in Savannah! Your travels look incredible. We spend most summers out west, and I really want to get to know the Pacific Northwest better. It's nice to find someone on here with so much in common! (Marilynne Robinson is wonderful. Other favorites?)

ambergraef @sarasja A geologist, cool! My husband ended up in Physical Therapy and loves it, but he originally wanted to be an archaeologist! And you are kind of living my dream-life with living in the Northeast for part of the year and the West the other part, lol! We would LOVE to eventually settle here in the Pacific Northwest because we have completely fallen in love with it.....but we also don't want to live so far away from our family, so it is a hard decision to say the least!

ambergraef @sarasja Brian Doyle is another that i have discovered recently who writes exclusively about the PNW - such a unique and beautiful style! I also read a lot of the classics i.e. George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, Charlotte Bronte......I'LL STOP THERE!....;-P What are some of your favorite books/authors??

sarasja Those are fantastic suggestions--I'm going to check out Brian Doyle! Books and writing are my life, too (I'm a copyeditor, though I mostly work on educational stuff). Where to start with favorites! Alice Munro, Jhumpa Lahiri, Maile Meloy, James Salter... Are you on Goodreads? I keep track there of books I've finished lately and liked (I'm saralikesbooks on there too)...

My one regret is that (for various reasons) I didn't major in literature or creative writing in school although I wanted to😰 Being an editor of any kind sounds almost fun! 😉 And I AM on Goodreads - I don't know how I kept up with my ever-growing reading list before it😉 I'll have to look you up on there! I'm going to look up those authors - I have been wanting to read something by Jhumpa Lahiri! Which one would you recommend?

ambergraef @sarasja ....I am familiar with "The Lowlands" and "The Namesake" but haven't gotten around to reading either. I tend to gravitate towards books about other countries and cultures a lot of the time, so I'm sure I would enjoy her!

sarasja I'd start with "Interpreter of Maladies," her early collection that won the Pulitzer, if you're up for short stories, but really all of hers are good. And yes, find me on Goodreads!

mskeeks @ambergraef I actually listed it on the bay earlier today. I can list it here but it would have to be 225 due to fees. It's brand new + since it was an online order it didn't come with tags. I absolutely love the dress but it's a tad big for me and I haven't had a chance to get it altered so it's just been hanging in my closet which is why I'm thinking about just selling it. xx
