mrs_calahan @renee_krista I took a few years off after my bachelors. Looking back I could have already been done now if I would've kicked my butt into gear! Oh well! What will you be able to do with your master in esl? Or what is your goal?

renee_krista @mrs_calahan I did the same thing and thought the same way, ya live ya learn right?! I will be a teacher K-12 for English as a second language education. I'm hoping to move abroad actually or west (I'm a NYer) :) what type of counseling would be your focus or hope to be your niche?

mrs_calahan @renee_krista that's awesome!!! I always wanted to live abroad :) my specialization and concentration is mental health counseling but I honestly hope to do marriage counseling. There is a specific program for family and marriage counselors but I'm worried to limit myself in case it's difficult to find a job. Mental health counselors are always needed!

amysue12483 Heyy!! I was reading some comments above and I just wanted to chime in and say Congrats on your choice of study!! I work at one of Northwest Ohio's Largest Mental/Behavioral Health Providers and I love it here! We have counselors here that specialize both in Mental Health and Marriage Counseling (it's not called "marriage" counseling here though), so you can do it and best of luck to you!!!
