rashadharris268 hi. nice jacket. hey I have a question. so I'm new to Poshmark right and I was wondering how you price high priced items? I had a couple leather jackets I was going to upload.

gaykempton @rashadharris268 I just use 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price. In this case my husband said if I couldn’t get what he wanted he would keep it 😁 pricing is difficult sometimes. I’m new to Poshmark too so I don’t really know how to work it as others seem to do.

rashadharris268 @gaykempton okay. good morning when you get a chance please look at the two jackets to see what I mean. those two jackets were given to me by my father and I basically grew up with them through highschool and college. but I cant fit them anymore. does sentimental value add to the price? also with yours the $750 was the original price right? so would you sell it at $750 or a little less maybe $700 or $730 because it's in good condition. how high can you go?

gaykempton @rashadharris268 I really don’t know. Maybe look for an experienced seller with high ratings and ask them. I have hardly had any sales and that must mean I have no idea how this Poshmark, or any other platform using SEOs really work!! Sorry I can’t be more help. If I learn of tips in the days and weeks to come I will share with you. And if you learn any ways to get more people to see your stuff ( which translates to asking better prices) maybe you can share with me.

I just watch YouTube. what I do is I have some type of story behind my stuff. because some of the pieces I have ( see my leather jackets listings) are sentimental which adds to the value. and that's why I priced them so high. I guess it's throw the bait out and the fish will come . leave them on there long enough and someone will buy it

rashadharris268 if someone asks why is it that high? if that's the case then why would Poshmark allow sellers to price goods in the first place? in stead of some automated price limiter. I list them that high because thats what I want it to sell for you know. I just bought a jacket earlier but down the line if I need another one I might buy it myself lol.
